Potensinews.id, BANDARLAMPUNG – The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Mahfud MD, was officially selected to accompany Ganjar Pranowo as a potential vice presidential candidate (Bacapres) in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).
The announcement was made by PDIP General Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri directly at the PDIP DPP Jalan Diponegoro, Jakarta Center, Wednesday 18 October 2023.
Megawati was accompanied by the general chairs of the pro-Ganjar coalition parties, PPP general chairperson Mardiono, general chairperson Perindo Hary Tanoesoedibjo, general chairperson Hanura Oesman Sapta Odang (0SO). On that occasion, Ganjar and Mahfud were also present.
A number of high-ranking officials from the three parties were also present. Chairman of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani, Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto, Chairman of Bappilu PPP Sandiaga Uno, along with other staff.
Thus, two Bacapres pairs have officially been formed, namely Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD. Meanwhile, Bacapres Prabowo Sibianto is still coordinating to determine the best partner. (Virgo)
