Ketoprak Ameng adalah salah satu ketoprak yang banyak peminat, terutama di daerah sekitaran Jalan Zainal Abidin Pagar Alam, Universitas Lampung (Unila), Rajabasa
Suandi Saputra (42) pemilik warung ketoprak mengaku menggeluti usaha ketoprak sudah berjalan selama 9 tahun. Awal mula dia berdagang ketoprak karena ingin merubah nasib
“Awalnya kerja bangunan. Saya ingin jadi pengusaha, saya sisihkan uang gajian setiap minggu untuk beli kaca, ban selama 6 bulan, alhamdulillah gerobak jadi,” ungkap Suandi, Jumat (24/03)
Sebelum mulai berdagang, Suandi terlebih dahulu mencari resep membuat ketoprak yang enak, dia sempat meminta resep dengan temannya, namun temannya tidak memberikan, akhirnya Suandi belajar lewat youtube
“Karena saya coba minta resep dari teman gak dikasih saya belajar di youtube, langsung praktek dagang bedua sama istri,” katanya
Sejak awal hingga saat ini Suandi buka ketoprak di halaman parkir Showroom Mobil Mazda, Jalan Zainal Abidin Pagar Alam, bersebelahan dengan SMPN 22. Suandi buka warung sehabis magrib hingga dagangan habis
Tidak terduga dalam waktu tujuh bulan Ketoprak Ameng laku keras, dalam semalam Suandi mampu menghabiskan ratusan porsi. Omset yang dia terima dalam semalam sekitar Rp1,5 juta
“Merintis langsung naik 250 porsi, anak Unila bisa 150 porsi, paling sedikit 100 bungkus, belum dari yang umum. omset 1,5 juta per malam, cuma 7 bulan. Dagang cuma tiga jam,” katanya
Suandi mengaku menjual satu porsi ketoprak dengan harga Rp13 ribu, namun seiring kenaikan bahan baku, Suandi terpaksa menyesuaikan dengan pengeluaran belanja bahan baku.
Meski bahan baku naik, namun dia tidak mengurangi bahan baku dan tambahan toping pada ketropraknya
“Awalnya jual Rp13 ribu, setelah bahan pokok naik jadi seporsi Rp15 ribu. Lontong, toge, bihun, dan tahu, lebihnya pake kripik tempe. Kita kasih gratis teh panas, kalau di go food cuma es teh yang gratis,” tukasnya.
Saat usahanya naik pesat, Suandi sempat membuka cabang Ketoprak Ameng 2 di sekitaran Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia (UTI). Namun, usahanya gagal karena penggusuran lahan
“Sempat buka di Teknokrat tetapi kena gusur pas pembangunan flyover. Jadi sekarang fokus dulu di sini,” ungkapnya
Tidak semulus yang diharapkan, Suandi telah mengalami berbagai macam cobaan salah satu cobaan terberatnya ketika Covid-19, dia terpaksa mengurangi karyawan dari 4 menjadi 1 orang
“Karyawan sisa 1 sampai sekarang. Pernah gak ada yang beli, pernah kena razia PPKM, kadang buka sampai jam 12 malam cuma laku 10 bungkus. Sampai habis-habisan gak punya simpenan. Tapi kita tetap buka tiap hari. Alhamdulillah sekarang normal,” pungkasnya. (Virgo)
